Ads creative is not organic cover art
Meta serves Facebook and Instagram placements from shared creative habits, but feed and Stories still use different artboards. Square 1080×1080 and taller 1080×1350 cover most feed units; vertical 1080×1920 covers Stories and Reels.
Page covers, profile photos, and Open Graph cards are separate jobs. Stretching them into ads wastes the auction frame and looks soft after compression.

Quick picks
Match the task to the guide so you do not export the wrong ratio.
- Facebook or Instagram feed placement → Feed ad (1:1 or 4:5).
- Stories or Reels placement → Stories / Reels ad at 1080×1920.
- Coming from a Page cover → Re-crop; covers are not ads.
- Also running organic posts → Export ad creative separately, then preview placements.
