Overview
PostSize (postsize.org) publishes social media image size guides and a free crop experience so you can export the right pixels before you upload to Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and similar platforms.
We designed the crop experience so your selected photos are handled on your own device whenever possible. We do not ask you to create an account to crop or download an image.
This policy is written for everyday readers. It is not legal advice. If you need counsel for your organization, please consult a qualified professional.
Photos and crop exports
When you choose a photo to crop on PostSize, that file is opened and processed in your browser on your device. PostSize does not operate an upload locker for those crop files: we do not require you to send the image to our mailboxes or accounts to complete a download.
The finished JPG or PNG you save is stored where your browser and operating system put downloads—typically on your computer or phone. From there, you decide whether to publish it on a social network. Those networks have their own privacy policies once you upload.
If you clear your browser data, close the tab, or leave the page, unsaved crop work in that session is usually discarded with the page. We recommend downloading any export you want to keep.
Information we may collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may process limited categories of information:
- Contact messages. If you email us, we receive the address you use, the message content, and standard mail metadata needed to reply.
- Basic site usage. Like most websites, our hosting and security layers may see technical request data such as approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, pages requested, and dates and times of access. This helps keep the site available and protected.
- Cookies or local storage. These may remember preferences or support measurement and advertising features described below.
We do not ask for passwords, payment cards, or government ID to use the size guides or the on-page crop experience.
Advertising and analytics
PostSize may display advertising and may use analytics to learn which pages people open. When those features are active, partners may set or read cookies and receive approximate usage signals under their own policies.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people move through guides and the crop experience (for example session replays and heatmaps). Clarity’s privacy information is available from Microsoft. Advertising partners such as Google, when ads are shown, have their own notices and tools (including Ads Settings).
Advertising partners do not receive your crop photo files from PostSize as part of the on-device crop flow described above.
Third-party services and links
Size guides may link to Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, or other sites so you can publish your export. Those services are independent. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you leave PostSize.
PostSize is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, Instagram, Facebook, X Corp., LinkedIn, TikTok, or other platform owners mentioned for sizing reference.
Children
PostSize is aimed at adults and teens who already manage social accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us by email, contact us and we will delete that correspondence where appropriate.
Your choices
You can:
- Use the guides and crop features without creating a PostSize account
- Avoid emailing us if you prefer not to share a contact address
- Adjust browser cookie controls and download locations on your device
- Request deletion of personal information you sent us by email, subject to lawful retention needs (for example fraud or abuse records)
If you are in a region with specific privacy rights (such as access or correction of personal data we hold about you), email us with your request. We may need enough detail to locate your message and verify that we are responding to the right person.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the PostSize website and any correspondence you send. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please keep downloads and social logins protected on your own devices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as PostSize grows or as laws and partner requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a revision. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy for future visits.
